Day 11

Tervist! (Hallo auf estnisch),

heute sind wir weitergefahren in Richtung Estland, um in den Sooma Nationalpark zu kommen. Von Līgatne aus sind es 3 1/2 Stunden bis zum Park. Wir mussten an der Grenze unbedingt ein Beweisphoto machen: Wir haben es tatsächlich bis nach Estland geschafft!! Bis dahin hatten wir schönes Wetter, was wir zwischendrin für einen kleinen Spaziergang genutzt haben. Ziel war eine alte Kirche, die so schief war, dass sie dem Turm von Pisa Konkurrenz machen könnte. Pünktlich zur Ankunft beim Informationszentrum im Park, fing es an wie aus Eimern zu regnen. Es gab ein herrliches Sommergewitter mit Blitzen und Donner und Bono….hat es verschlafen! Unseren Schlafplatz für heute haben wir an einem telkimisala ( einem Zeltplatz) mit Schutzhütte, Feuerstelle mit Holz und der obligatorischen Trockentoilette (das Häuschen mit Herz). Das Gewitter ist vorüber, Bono schläft schon wieder und wir genießen die Stille in dieser schönen Natur! Head aega ( tschüs) für heute.

Tervist! ( Hallo in Estonian language),

it took us three and a half hour to drive to the Sooma National Park today. We had to take a pic of the border to proof that we made it to Estonia! We enjoyed the perfect weather while walking to an old crooked church that was the twin of the Tower of Pisa. When we reached the Information center of the park we were heartily welcome by a thunderstorm! We had thunder and lightning right above us and our Bono…slept it over! We are going to stay the night at a telkimisala ( campground) with a forest hut, fireplace with wood for free, and the typical toilet, which is something just to try out! The sun is finally out again , Bono keeps on sleeping and we can enjoy the beautiful nature with its silence around us! Head aega ( bye) for today.
